Nicki was rescued an hour before being put to sleep. We got there just in time thinking we had an adopter for her but the second she was safe they backed out. She is now in a temporary foster home and is as sweet as can be. Unfortunately she was heartworm positive so she is currently being treated for that. We just found out that she has a tumor on her tummy. This is going to be an expensive surgery to remove and even more expensive if it is cancer and she will have to go through treatment.
